Talent Acquisition Lead - Gaming

After leaving school and having absolutely no idea what I wanted to do, I went to college to become a chef mainly because it felt like the only thing I could get into! Thankfully, I’ve always loved cooking, so it turned out to be a great fit.

Three years at college and nine years working as a chef later, I found myself at a crossroads. I was working all hours under the sun in the kitchen and working closely with recruitment agencies to source chefs for the restaurants I managed at the Essex of University, and one conversation led to another. Before I knew it, I was swapping the kitchen for a 9–5 career in recruitment.

Fast forward 10 years, with most of that time spent recruiting within the games industry, and I can honestly say I love what I do. Helping talented people find their next opportunity and partnering with amazing studios is something I genuinely enjoy every day.

You already know one of my biggest passions, cooking, but the other two are football and gaming.

I’m a lifelong West Ham supporter, and when I’m not working, you’ll probably find me playing Football Manager Mobile or Rocket League.

I’m also a bit of a petrolhead and love getting out on track whenever I get the chance.

If I’m not recruiting, gaming, watching football or driving insanely fast on the track you’ll most likely find me in the garden cooking something low and slow on my smoker. A properly smoked brisket is hard to beat!
